How to Generate Your QR Code

Last updated: 1/31/2026

QR codes make it incredibly easy for customers to access your review page. Here's how to generate and customize your QR code.

What is a QR Code?

A QR code is a square barcode that customers can scan with their smartphone camera to instantly open your review page. Instead of typing a long URL, customers simply point their phone at the QR code and tap the notification that appears. It's the fastest way to collect reviews in person.

How to Generate Your QR Code

Step 1: Select the business you want to create a QR code for from the dropdown menu in the sidebar.

Step 2: Click on 'QR Code' in the sidebar menu. You'll be taken to the QR Code page.

Step 3: You'll immediately see a QR Code Preview on the left side of the screen. This is your unique QR code that links directly to your review page. It's generated automatically based on your review link.

Step 4: Your review link is displayed below the QR code. You can click the copy icon to copy this link to your clipboard.

Customizing Your QR Code

On the right side of the screen, you'll find customization options:

QR Color: Click on the black color square to choose a different color for your QR code. You can match it to your brand colors. Note that very light colors may not scan well, so stick with darker colors for best results.

Background Color: Click on the white color square to change the background color. Most businesses keep this white or very light for maximum contrast and scannability.

Size: Use the dropdown menu to select your QR code size. Options typically include 256px Small, 512px Medium, 1024px Large, and 2048px Extra Large. Choose based on where you'll use it.

As you make changes, the preview on the left updates in real-time so you can see exactly how your QR code will look.

Using Quick Presets

Below the color options, you'll find Quick Presets buttons. These apply pre-designed color schemes instantly:

B&W: Classic black QR code on white background. This is the most scannable option and works everywhere.

Blue: Blue QR code on white background for a professional look.

Inverted: White QR code on black background for a modern, striking appearance.

Subtle: Soft, muted colors for an elegant look.

Click any preset to apply it instantly, then fine-tune the colors if needed.

Downloading Your QR Code

Once you're happy with your QR code, you need to download it. You have two format options:

PNG: Click the blue PNG button to download a raster image file. This is best for digital use like websites, social media, or emails. PNG files have a transparent background option and work well for most purposes.

SVG: Click the SVG button to download a vector file. This is best for print materials because it can scale to any size without losing quality. SVG files are perfect for large prints like posters or banners.

The file will download to your computer's default download folder. You can then use it however you need.

Choosing the Right Size

256px Small: Good for business cards or small digital uses.

512px Medium: Perfect for receipts, table tents, and most printed materials.

1024px Large: Ideal for flyers, menus, and medium-sized prints.

2048px Extra Large: Best for posters and large signage.

When in doubt, download SVG format - it scales perfectly to any size you need.

Testing Your QR Code

Before printing or sharing your QR code, always test it. Open your phone's camera app and point it at the QR code on your computer screen. A notification should appear at the top of your phone with a link. Tap it to make sure it opens your review page correctly. If it doesn't work, check your phone's QR code settings or try a different camera app.
