Review Page Not Loading - Troubleshooting

Last updated: 1/31/2026

If your review page isn't loading when customers try to access it, this guide will help you diagnose and fix the problem.

Quick Checks First

Before diving into complex troubleshooting, try these quick fixes:

Refresh the page: Press F5 or click the refresh button in your browser. Sometimes pages fail to load due to temporary connection issues.

Check your internet connection: Make sure you're connected to the internet. Try loading another website to verify your connection works.

Try a different browser: If the page won't load in Chrome, try Firefox, Safari, or Edge. This helps determine if the issue is browser-specific.

Clear your browser cache: Old cached data can sometimes prevent pages from loading correctly. Clear your cache and try again.

Verify the Review Link

Make sure you're using the correct link:

Step 1: Log in to your RatingFlow dashboard.

Step 2: Select the business you're trying to access from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Look at the top of your dashboard or go to the QR Code page to see your official review link.

Step 4: Copy the link exactly as shown and paste it into a new browser tab.

Common mistakes: typing the link incorrectly, using an old link if you changed your custom URL slug, adding extra characters or spaces, using http instead of https.

Check if Your Funnel is Active

If your review funnel is paused, the page won't be accessible:

Step 1: Go to your RatingFlow dashboard.

Step 2: Look at the top of your business page for the Active or Paused toggle.

Step 3: If the toggle shows Paused or is red or gray, your funnel is inactive. Click the toggle to switch it to Active, which should be green.

Step 4: Try loading your review page again.

When a funnel is paused, visitors may see an error message or a page saying the review form is temporarily unavailable.

DNS and Domain Issues

If you're getting a DNS error or 'site cannot be reached' message:

Wait and retry: DNS issues are sometimes temporary. Wait 5-10 minutes and try again.

Flush DNS cache: On Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns. On Mac, open Terminal and type sudo dscacheutil -flushcache.

Try a different network: Switch from WiFi to mobile data, or vice versa. This helps identify if the issue is with your network.

Use a different DNS server: Try changing your DNS settings to use Google DNS at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 or Cloudflare DNS at 1.1.1.1.

Firewall and Security Software

Sometimes security software blocks access to websites:

Disable antivirus temporarily: Turn off your antivirus or firewall for a moment to see if the page loads. If it does, add RatingFlow to your security software's whitelist.

Check browser extensions: Ad blockers or privacy extensions can sometimes interfere. Try disabling extensions or using an incognito/private browsing window.

Network restrictions: If you're on a corporate or school network, certain websites might be blocked. Try accessing from a personal device on mobile data.

Mobile-Specific Issues

If the page won't load on mobile devices:

Check mobile data or WiFi: Make sure you have a strong connection. Try switching between mobile data and WiFi.

Update your browser: Make sure you're using the latest version of Safari, Chrome, or your mobile browser.

Clear mobile browser cache: Go to your browser settings and clear cache and cookies.

Restart your phone: Sometimes a simple restart fixes mysterious loading issues.

Try a different mobile browser: If Safari isn't working, try Chrome. If Chrome doesn't work, try Safari.

Checking RatingFlow Status

On rare occasions, RatingFlow's servers might be experiencing issues:

Check if other websites load: If many websites aren't loading, the issue is likely your internet connection, not RatingFlow.

Try from different devices: Test your review link on your phone, computer, and a friend's device. If it doesn't work on any device, there might be a broader issue.

Check social media or status pages: Look for announcements about service disruptions on RatingFlow's social media or website.

If RatingFlow is experiencing an outage, the team is likely already working on it. These are rare and typically resolved quickly.

Error Messages and What They Mean

Different error messages indicate different problems:

404 Not Found: The URL is incorrect or the page doesn't exist. Double-check your review link in your dashboard.

500 Internal Server Error: A server issue on RatingFlow's end. Wait a few minutes and try again. If it persists, contact support.

503 Service Unavailable: Temporary server overload or maintenance. Wait and retry in a few minutes.

Connection Timeout: Your internet is too slow or the connection was interrupted. Check your internet speed and stability.

SSL Certificate Error: Your browser can't verify the site's security. Make sure you're using https:// and your system date and time are correct.

Testing from Multiple Locations

To isolate the problem, test your review link from:

Different devices: Your phone, tablet, computer, and someone else's device.

Different networks: Home WiFi, mobile data, public WiFi, work network.

Different browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

If the page loads in some situations but not others, you've identified where the problem lies. For example, if it works on mobile data but not WiFi, your WiFi network might be blocking it.

When to Contact Support

Contact RatingFlow support if:

You've tried all the above steps and the page still won't load. The page hasn't loaded for more than 24 hours. Other customers are reporting they can't access your review page. You're getting consistent error messages that don't resolve. You suspect there's a problem with your specific account or business.

When contacting support, include: your review link URL, the error message or behavior you're seeing, what device and browser you're using, what troubleshooting steps you've already tried, and when the problem started.

This information helps the support team diagnose and fix the issue quickly.
