Reviews Not Appearing in Dashboard
If customers are submitting reviews but you're not seeing them in your RatingFlow dashboard, here's how to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
Check You're Viewing the Correct Business
If you manage multiple businesses, make sure you've selected the right one:
Step 1: Look at the business dropdown menu in your sidebar.
Step 2: Verify the selected business matches the one you're collecting reviews for.
Step 3: If it's the wrong business, click the dropdown and select the correct one.
Step 4: Navigate to the Reviews page to see if your reviews appear.
Each business has its own separate reviews dashboard, so reviews submitted through one business's review link will only appear in that specific business's dashboard.
Verify Reviews Were Actually Submitted
Make sure customers are completing the review process:
Submit a test review yourself. Visit your review page, select a rating, optionally add text, and click Submit.
After submitting, you should see a thank you message. If you selected a high rating, you'll be redirected to Google after a few seconds.
Check your dashboard. Your test review should appear within seconds in the Reviews section.
If your test review appears but customer reviews don't, customers may be visiting your page but not clicking Submit, or they're encountering errors during submission.
Check Your Filters
Reviews might be hidden by active filters:
Step 1: Go to your Reviews page.
Step 2: Look at the filter dropdowns above your review list. Check the rating filter and type filter.
Step 3: Set both filters to All Ratings and All Types.
Step 4: Clear any text in the search box.
Step 5: Check if reviews now appear.
If reviews suddenly appear after clearing filters, they were there all along but hidden by your filter settings.
Refresh Your Browser
Sometimes your browser shows cached old data:
Hard refresh the page by pressing Ctrl+F5 on Windows or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac.
If that doesn't work, clear your browser cache completely, then reload the Reviews page.
Try logging out of RatingFlow completely, then logging back in.
Try accessing your dashboard from a different browser or device to see if reviews appear there.
Check for Form Submission Errors
If customers are trying to submit but getting errors:
Test your review form thoroughly. Fill it out exactly as a customer would.
If you have required custom fields, make sure they're not preventing submission. Try temporarily making all custom fields optional to test.
Check if the submit button is working. Make sure it's clickable and responds when pressed.
Test on both mobile and desktop devices as issues sometimes affect only one platform.
Verify Your Internet Connection
A poor connection can prevent reviews from syncing:
Check that you have a stable internet connection.
Try accessing other websites to verify your connection is working properly.
If you're on WiFi, try switching to mobile data or a different network.
Restart your router if you suspect network issues.
Check the Date Range
Some dashboard views have date filters:
Look for any date range selectors on your Reviews page.
If there's a date filter, make sure it's set to show recent reviews, not just old ones.
Set the date range to All Time or the last 30 days to see if reviews appear.
Look for Error Messages
When you or customers submit a review:
Watch for any error messages that appear during or after submission.
Common errors include network timeouts, validation errors for required fields, or server errors.
If you see an error, note exactly what it says. This helps support diagnose the issue.
Take a screenshot of any errors you encounter.
Check Analytics for Confirmation
Your Analytics dashboard can help verify if submissions are happening:
Go to the Analytics page in your sidebar.
Check Total Visits and Link Clicks. If these numbers are increasing, people are visiting your page and clicking through.
If you see visits but no corresponding reviews, customers are landing on your page but not completing the submission.
This might indicate a problem with your review form or that customers are bouncing before submitting.
Browser Console Errors
For technical users, check the browser console for errors:
Open your review page in Chrome or Firefox.
Press F12 to open Developer Tools.
Click on the Console tab.
Submit a test review and watch for any red error messages.
Screenshot any errors and include them when contacting support.
Wait for Sync
In rare cases, there might be a delay in reviews appearing:
Reviews should typically appear within seconds of submission.
If you just submitted a review, wait 5 to 10 minutes and refresh your dashboard.
If reviews still don't appear after 30 minutes, there's likely a problem that needs attention.
When to Contact Support
Contact RatingFlow support if:
You've tried all troubleshooting steps and reviews still don't appear. You can submit test reviews successfully but customer reviews aren't showing up. You're seeing error messages during review submission. Reviews appeared before but suddenly stopped showing up. You suspect a technical issue with your account.
When contacting support, provide: your business name and account email, when the problem started, screenshots of your Reviews page showing no reviews, confirmation that you've submitted test reviews, any error messages you've seen, what troubleshooting steps you've tried.
