How to Customize Your Submit Button

Last updated: 1/31/2026

The submit button is what customers click to send their review. You can customize the text that appears on this button to match your business voice.

What is the Submit Button?

The submit button appears at the bottom of your review form. After customers select their star rating and optionally write feedback, they click this button to submit their review. The button uses your primary brand color (which you can customize in the Colors section) and displays text that you can change.

How to Change the Button Text

Step 1: Go to the Customize section from your sidebar.

Step 2: Click on the 'Appearance' tab.

Step 3: Scroll down to the 'Submit Button' section. You'll see a text field labeled 'Button Text'.

Step 4: Click in the text field and type your preferred button text. The default is 'Submit Feedback'.

Step 5: Watch the Live Preview on the right to see how your button text looks in real-time.

Step 6: Click 'Save Changes' when you're satisfied with your button text.

Button Text Ideas and Examples

The button text should be short, clear, and action-oriented. Here are some examples:

Standard options: 'Submit Feedback', 'Submit Review', 'Send', 'Submit', 'Continue'

Friendly options: 'Share My Experience', 'Send My Feedback', 'Share My Review', 'Let's Go'

Professional options: 'Submit Response', 'Send Feedback', 'Complete Survey'

Casual options: 'Done', 'All Set', 'Send It', 'Submit My Rating'

Gratitude-focused: 'Share & Thank You', 'Submit - Thanks!', 'Send (We Appreciate You)'

Best Practices for Button Text

Keep it short: Button text should be just 1-3 words. Long text can look cramped on mobile devices.

Be clear: Customers should immediately understand what will happen when they click the button. Avoid vague words like 'OK' or 'Next'.

Match your brand: Use language that fits your business personality. A law firm might use 'Submit Feedback' while a surf shop might use 'Send It'.

Use action verbs: Start with words like Submit, Send, Share, or Complete to make it clear this is an action button.

Test on mobile: The button appears prominently on mobile devices. Make sure your text isn't too long to fit comfortably on small screens.

Stay consistent: If you use specific language throughout your review page (like 'experience' vs 'feedback'), carry that through to your button text.

What NOT to Use

Avoid these button text choices:

Don't beg: Avoid text like 'Please Submit' or 'Help Us Out'. It sounds desperate and unprofessional.

Don't be confusing: Avoid text like 'Click Here' or 'Press This'. Customers already know how buttons work.

Don't be too casual: Unless your brand is extremely informal, avoid text like 'Yo Send It' or 'Whatever'.

Don't mention ratings: Avoid text like 'Give 5 Stars' or 'Rate Us Now'. This pressures customers and can come across as manipulative.

Testing Your Button

After changing your button text:

Check the Live Preview to see how it looks.

Scan your QR code or visit your review link on your phone to see it on a real mobile device.

Make sure the text fits comfortably on the button and doesn't look cramped or cut off.

Consider asking a few trusted customers or employees what they think of the button text - does it make sense to them?

Remember that changing button text is quick and easy, so you can always adjust it if you find something works better.
