How to Delete a Business
If you need to permanently remove a business from your RatingFlow account, follow these steps. Please note that this action cannot be undone.
Before You Delete
Before deleting a business, make sure you understand what will happen:
All reviews for this business will be permanently deleted from RatingFlow. This includes both public reviews that went to Google and private feedback. However, reviews already posted to Google will remain on Google - we can't delete those.
All analytics data, including visit history, conversion rates, and traffic sources will be permanently removed.
Your review link and QR codes will stop working immediately. Customers who try to access them will see an error message.
The business seat will become available again, allowing you to add a different business in its place.
Consider Pausing Instead
If you're not sure whether you want to permanently delete a business, consider pausing it instead. Pausing keeps all your data intact while stopping new reviews from being collected. You can reactivate it anytime. Only delete if you're certain you won't need this business or its data in the future.
Steps to Delete a Business
Step 1: Select the business you want to delete from the dropdown menu in the sidebar.
Step 2: Click on 'Settings' in the sidebar to access the business settings page.
Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page. You'll find a 'Danger Zone' section with a red 'Delete Business' button.
Step 4: Click the 'Delete Business' button. A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to confirm that you want to permanently delete this business and all its data.
Step 5: Read the warning carefully. If you're sure you want to proceed, click 'Yes, Delete' or 'Confirm Delete' in the confirmation dialog.
Step 6: The business will be immediately deleted, and you'll be redirected to your main dashboard. The seat that was used by this business is now available for a new business.
Export Data Before Deleting
If you want to keep a record of your reviews before deleting the business, make sure to export them first. Go to the Reviews section and click 'Export CSV' to download all your review data. This way you'll have a backup of all the feedback you've collected, even after the business is deleted from RatingFlow.
Can I Recover a Deleted Business?
No. Once a business is deleted, it cannot be recovered. All data is permanently removed from our servers. If you accidentally delete a business and need assistance, contact our support team immediately. While we may not be able to recover the data, we can help you set up a new business and advise on best practices going forward.
